Mouse Control
One of the most important services we provide at Standard Pest Control is mouse control in Alberta, where we have seven species of mice to defend against. The common house mouse is the most prevalent type of mouse found inside homes, however deer mice, field mice and more will also find their way inside in the winter months in search of food and shelter. Mice will destroy rigid foam, fiberglass, and other types of insulation in walls and attics. Mice also cause structural damage to buildings by gnawing on wood used in the structure, as well as burrowing underneath structures which can lead to structural failure. Electrical wiring gnawed by mice causes many fires each year. Mice are also implicated in the transmission of a number of diseases that are infections to pets and humans.
